Literacy

Literacy refers to the ability to read, spell and write, and falls under the area of written language. You may notice difficulties with:

Early phonological awareness skills, such as hearing sounds in words, breaking words into syllables, and rhyming
Understanding the relationship between sounds and letters
Reading fluently and accurately
Understanding and comprehending information that is read
Spelling words and learning orthographic/letter knowledge
Constructing and understanding narratives.
